I know I was about two months late, but I wanted to shoot something for pride month. Ever since Georgia Tech finally finished their rainbow staircase I knew I had to shoot there. So, what better friend to shoot with than my friend Ana. She is quiet the character- but in a great way. She's one of the most outgoing people I know- even more than me.
Playing with light and darkness...Shooting in the night is still a skill I am learning to not only do but also to edit. I remember the first time I tried shooting it got dark on me and I didn't know what to do. All my photos were grainy, blurry, and just in general god awful. I had to scrap and throw away every single photo. This time around it was a lot better.
Outfit, location, and makeup were all planned by me. I am so happy Ana trusted me to apply the creative gems on her eyes and trusted they would look good lol. (I'm not going to lie, we lost about 10 of them trying to put them on- they just wouldn't stick!)
Over all I was so happy about the end outcome! Not only did my night photography improve, but I also learned how to use the light to create shapes and shadows for a nice composition (that it at least to me).
The best part of the shoot was making Ana believe she was a hot model, that is because SHE IS!! Here are some of the photos from the shoot.
I know I still want to do more night shoots and experiment with colorful lights....but I need a crew and need to buy those lights haha.
